    UpDate for K2WoodShop program
     
    IMPORTANT: The K2WoodShopFiles.zip must have been downloaded and the installation directions completed before installing this UpDate file.
     
    After downloading and extracting run the K2WSUpDate.exe to install the latest version.  This will replace files in the existing program with the new revised version. The notes file will be updated so when the help file is viewed you will see what version you currently are using.  The update notes fill will open and you will see a summary of the updates.

    Installation:

    The directory structure is critical to the operation of the DC Macros as the file locations are hard coded in the macros. The user could edit the macros but it is easier to accept the directories as designed. Since these macros are all called from the included toolbar this does not affect your normal DC macro directories.

    1- From the download directory run the program K2WoodShopFiles.exe

    The files will be extracted and placed in the following directories will be made on your computer. "C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop", "C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop\swsetup", "C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop\Icons",

    "C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop\Macros", "C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop\Symbols"

    2- Copy the sample drawings to any directory of your choice.

    3- Copy the paper space templates (*.tps) to the directory where DC expects to find them.

    4-Install the VB K2WoodShop Program. Run the installation program

    C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop\swsetup\setup.exe For the installation directory accept the default ( C:\Program Files\K2WoodShop). This is very important as the macros have file names in the code.

    5- Start DC and right click on one of the toolbars then check customize to open the toolbar form. Load the K2WoodShopToolBar.dct located in the icon directory. This toolbar is very important to the use of this program as it gives you access to the vb program and the macros that make switching between parts and part views very easy.

    You will find the rest of this file K2WoodShopNotes.doc in the K2WoodShop directory  and it should open in wordpad after the K2WoodShopFiles.exe program is run to unzip the files
